Dimethylamine is also known as N, N-dimethylamine. Because of its low boiling point (6.9 ℃), it is a gas at room temperature, flammable and explosive. If pressurized liquefaction is adopted, it needs to be stored and transported in pressure resistant steel cylinders, which is inconvenient for transportation and use, especially for enterprises that do not have a dimethylamine production device and use dimethylamine as production raw material. Dimethylamine is easily soluble in water, and 40% aqueous solution is easy to manufacture, transport and use, safe and energy-saving. Therefore, 40% dimethylamine aqueous solution becomes an industrial product, called "industrial dimethylamine aqueous solution". It can be directly used in industry or used to evaporate dimethylamine. Therefore, its properties and uses are the same as those of dimethylamine.

Main purpose

It is used as raw material for the production of drugs, dyes, pesticides, leather hair removers, ion exchange resins, catalysts, lubricating oil additives, rubber vulcanization accelerators, rocket propellants, etc. For example, medicine is used in the manufacture of phenergan, sulfonamides, caffeine cough relievers, etc. Production of pesticide thiram, chlordimeform, baachaolong, etc. Organic synthesis to produce dimethylformamide, dimethylhydrazine, etc. The rubber industry is used to produce tetramethylthiuram disulfide vulcanization accelerator.

Packaging, storage and transportation

The industrial dimethylamine aqueous solution is sealed in 200L iron drums and stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from kindling and heat source. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30 ℃. Keep container sealed. It shall be stored separately from oxidant, acid and halogen, and shall not be mixed. Explosion proof lighting and ventilation facilities shall be adopted. It is prohibited to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to generate sparks. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment.
