Purpose:

It is mainly used for preparing bromine, as common analytical reagent, oxidant, absorbent of ethylene and heavy hydrocarbons, and brominating agent for organic synthesis.

Storage method:

Use acid resistant ceramic jars or glass bottles for packaging, and seal the jars (bottles) with wax or gypsum. The net weight of each jar of industrial bromine is 25kg or 30kg. The jar (bottle) shall be put into a wooden box, and a cushion shall be added between the box and the jar (bottle) to prevent crushing. The package shall have obvious marks of "drug" and "corrosive articles". It shall be stored in a cool, ventilated and dry warehouse. It shall be protected from sunlight, isolated from kindling and heat source, and shall not be stored and transported together with ammonia, phosphorus, aluminum powder and alkali. Keep away from wood chips, shavings, straw and other combustibles to prevent burning. Handle with care during transportation and loading/unloading to avoid breakage of jars (bottles).
