Purpose:

It is mainly used as solvent, such as in lube oil dewaxing, coating industry, and azeotropic distillation of extraction and refining processes of various resin solvents and vegetable oils. It has the advantages of strong solubility, lower volatility than acetone, and belongs to medium boiling point ketone solvent. Butanone is also an intermediate for the preparation of medicine, dyes, detergents, spices, antioxidants and some catalysts. It is used to synthesize anti peeling agent methyl ethyl ketone oxime, polymerization catalyst methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, corrosion inhibitor methyl pentynol, etc., and is used as a developer after integrated circuit lithography in the electronic industry.

Storage precautions:

Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from kindling and heat source. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30 ℃. Keep container sealed. It shall be stored separately from oxidants, reducing agents and alkalis, and shall not be mixed. Explosion proof lighting and ventilation facilities shall be adopted. It is prohibited to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to generate sparks. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate materials.
