Dichloromethane

Dichloromethane

Dichloromethane, an organic compound, is a colorless transparent liquid with an irritating odor similar to ether. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol and ether, it is a nonflammable low boiling point solvent under normal conditions of use. When its vapor becomes high concentration in high temperature air, it will generate weakly combustible mixed gas, which is often used to replace flammable petroleum ether, ether, etc.

Storage precautions:

Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated place where the sun cannot directly shine. Keep away from heat source, flame and incompatibilities, such as strong oxidant, strong acid and nitric acid. Store in a properly labeled container. Unused containers and empty barrels shall be tightly covered. Avoid damage to containers and regularly check drums for defects such as breakage or spillage. The vessel is galvanized or lined with Phenolic synthetic resin to reduce the possibility of decomposition of dichloromethane. Limited storage. Put up warning signs at appropriate places. The storage area shall be separated from the work area with intensive staff, and the access to the area shall be restricted. Use plastic water pipes that are specified to be used for substances to unload toxic substances. The material may accumulate static electricity and may cause combustion. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated place where the sun cannot directly shine.
